There is nothing alt right about wanting more people in the world unless you specify what type of people. The fact is the world should have less people.

Birth rates right now are under attack in every Western country, by both Liberal & Conservative Parties. When you hear governments refer to "more people", they talk only about immigration or importing existing beings instead of creating new ones.

The only countries that don't have a stigma on increasing birth rates are also the most socially conservative ones. Hungary, Japan, & North Korea want to raise more children naturally, while also being the most strict with their borders.

I believe Elon is thinking of the near future when humans and/or bots/cyborgs will be needed off world. If we ever encounter aliens, they may be us from past civilizations. Of course they might have CRSPR modified DNA. He may be thinking of other factors, for example, virtual sex with bots may be so good, no one will want to do it with their own species. The babies are artificially grown ex vitro in that case, maybe. Sounds like Brave New World.
