The story of the murder isn't suppressed

Where did you first hear about this story?

the color of skin isn't important

You're missing the point, so I'll help you out. As it says: "If the victim was black and the attacker a white man, especially if he was a member of a right-wing organization, the tragedy would've wound up as front page news". Do you deny this claim?

Consider that, in 2020, 900,000 New Yorkers lost their jobs, and 436,000 are still out of work.

You are clearly insinuating that a bunch of formerly law-abiding people are now out murdering because they are suddenly out of work. That would be strange, since murdering requires effort whereas the jobless could just sit around and do nothing, incurring no risk of death or imprisonment. And before you go off on "Well they're killing people to get money to buy food!", note that in this incident that is clearly not the case because:

the fact that nothing was stolen

I deny that this is the problem (per my post), and I note that it's merely race-bating for racists. And who reads the 'front page' of a paper newspapers anymore? This was a well-known crime. Simply search for David Giri:

National-justice.com spun this as a racist anti-black report, rather than admit that the actual reasons for the murder are unknown. People of all races around the world commit random murders, as happened tragically to Giri.

You are clearly insinuating that a bunch of formerly law-abiding people are now out murdering because they are suddenly out of work.

It's not an 'insinuation', but a basic statement that - of nearly a million law-abiding people who are suddenly out of work - there will be some of those people who will go crazy and want to stab random people. It's a matter of statistics and history, not of race. An 'insinuation' would be a claim that this is suddenly about race.

And before you go off on "Well they're killing people to get money to buy food!", note that in this incident that is clearly not the case because:

the fact that nothing was stolen

That's not the issue. The issue is anger and hopelessness. There are many examples, among all ethnicities, dating back 100,000+ years. The problem is that national-justice.com and other websites are trying to attract neanderthals to their propagands, suggesting that blacks commit crimes because of the color of their skin - as if they get up in the morning, realize that they are people of color, and thus decide to go stab people.

Lol. Still lying and strawmanning that race and skin color are synonyms. Which one of those articles mentions any racial aspect to this, by the way, anti-White? Black people commit crimes at rates astronomically greater than other races because they actually have smaller average brain size and low intelligence. Also, higher time preference.

Read the full comment thread if you are curious about what's discussed here. You are pulling one false notion from the thread in order to discuss brain size and concepts you obviously don't understand.

You fill every post you make with false notions and strawman arguments.

Try not to be so boring.

The truth is often mundane and boring.

I deny that this is the problem

Perhaps I was not clear. I did not ask if you deny that it "is the problem"; I asked if you deny that it is true.

People of all races around the world commit random murders

Your homework is to find which ones commit more random murders per capita.

suggesting that blacks commit crimes because of the color of their skin

Do you believe that race and skin color are completely interchangeable concepts?

as if they get up in the morning, realize that they are people of color, and thus decide to go stab people.

You expect us to accept that some people "will go crazy and want to stab random people" merely because they lost a job, yet you also seem to think it absurd that any black people would go crazy and want to stab people for any reason related to their respective races. Make up your mind. This incident may help.

suggesting that blacks commit crimes because of the color of their skin...

Just don't expect legitimate replies from that account. The 'hapless ignoramus' act is just that - an act.

Work on your reading comprehension, Node, rather than project your fantasies onto others

[–]Node 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

You do have good rhetorical skills, as your manipulations of the topic and focus repeatedly demonstrate. I too have had training in that area. So it's not like your purpose isn't obvious.

project your fantasies onto others

Weak, but you're correct to deflect and denigrate. Keep going if you like.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Perhaps I was not clear. I did not ask if you deny that it "is the problem"; I asked if you deny that it is true.

So you really think that is the issue here - the hypothetical idea that a white, esp. right-wing person, attacking a black person would have been on the front page - and you ask if I deny that claim?

I deny it. (1) Your question is unrelated to the attack (a black person atttacked a white person and it was in the NY Times and several other websites), (2) your question is unrelated to the attack because a black person attacked a white person and it was on an equivalent version of an online "front page", (3) all random homicides in the US rarely get much attention on the so-called "front-page" because they are so common, and especially in NYC since 2020, (4) to directly answer your question, I deny that a homicide by a white person against a black person would be on the so-called front page because many of these crimes (white on black or whatever) are not on the front page, as they are essentially news blips and have a news cycle of 10 minutes, (5) there were 21,570 homicides in the US in 2020, (6) most victims of homicides - if we compare ONLY blacks and whites - were blacks, as is the norm for lower income victims, (7) people of all races do indeed commit random murders, and to focus on blacks is an obvious attempt to demonize them, whereas you can look at hispanic crime, or crime among lower income whites, (8) you must look at class differences, as those who are struggling to live will of course tend to commit more crimes (white collar crime is also significant), (9) racists tend to divide races by skin color, which is one of the reason they are called racists, because of prejudice against people with a different skin color, (10) racists rarely understand or discuss appropriately the complexities of ethnicity, favoring instead simplifications of skin color into whites and blacks, which is of course stupid, (11) yes, 900,000 people out of work in a year will result in a few crimes, even if that's just a slight increaase in crime from the year before, (12) some of those crimes will be homicides, (13) most of those deaths - if we must focus on the stupid black/white stats - are black, (14) most of those deaths are - more importantly - lower income people, (15) many of those lower income people have drug problems and commit crimes because of insanity, (16) news of homicides of blacks or whites does not differ that much, (17) there is the problem that kidnapings of blond girls get more attention than kidnappings of Native Americans, or of Hispanics, or of blacks, but that's a different matter

[–]EuropeanAwakening14 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Low income Whites commit less crime than low income blacks. You don't know that because you didn't read it in a wikipedia article. So, this whole silly little "you're wayyyciss" rant is kinda shot now.

[–]88BitSorelianism 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (26 children)

According to the victims father the investigators told him that there was a racial motive, so in reality it's only people like you who want White people murdered that deny it had a racial motive, just journalist scum doing their thing.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (25 children)

Yes - it was likely a hate crime, but the actual reasons for that racism and hatred go much deeper than the color of the person's skin. Obviously, many on DAR are SOLELY interested in skin color, rather than the other issues.

[–]88BitSorelianism 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (24 children)

When did I say that was caused by pigment in skin? No one said it happened because of pigment existing. As the investigators said and you even acknowledged he did it because he hates White people, a hate crime as you called it. He was forced into a situation where he was in close contact with people who hate him because of his race at bayonet point by the government, that is how this was forced on us, at bayonet point.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (23 children)

When did I say that was caused by pigment in skin?

because he hates White people

[–]88BitSorelianism 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (22 children)

because he hates White people

Isn't that what a racially motivated hate crime against a White person is?

Yes - it was likely a hate crime

So either you think he did it because he hates White people or you are again arguing in bad faith.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (21 children)

Really?

In response to the various issues in my comments, your response was that "there was a racial motive".

I replied: "reasons for that racism and hatred go much deeper than the color of the person's skin."

Then you asked: "When did I say that was caused by pigment in skin?" "He did it because he hates White people"

I answered with our comment: "because he hates White people"

Now you're asking: "Isn't that what a racially motivated hate crime against a White person is?"

You are indeed judging people - and the crime in this case - based because of the color of skin, rather than the broader circumstances of the situation. If you want to continue down that path, consider that mass shooters are often "white" folks, and there are other ethnicities to consider for murders.

[–]88BitSorelianism 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (19 children)

Mass Shooters are disproportionately black and Muslim, but I'm sure that isn't what you wanted to talk about you just wanted to change the subject.

In America, investigators seem quite convinced that the racial motive was at the basis of the homicidal attack

You want to have your cake and eat it too, it can't be a racially motivated murder without animus towards that person's race.

And you try to obfuscate this by saying the pigment in the black persons skin didn't command him to murder the White person as if that is what we are saying a clear straw man.
