That is because he is a rich Jew. Property is a representation of your life in the hours you work. If sometime steals five years of your paycheck in stolen and destroy goods, they have effectively stolen five years of your life that was spent working. Of course goods depreciate, but the point is stealing from someone shows you don't have much regard for their life.
