This is obviously a political move. These NGO workers have been accused of espionage, money laundering, human trafficking, disclosing state secrets, and aiding illegal immigration. The case is strong for all of these points.

This is an unquestionably good act, however, the conservative government has sinister, ulterior motives. With this motion, they hope to absorb a sizable portion of the voting-bloc that supported Golden Dawn--effectively neutering this movement. Similar to Trump, they will use this energy to retain/gain power, but will fall short of the initial appearance they created. Remember, Golden Dawn members are political prisoners, and the current government has refused to abdicate their baseless charges set upon them by the prior leftist power.

As Europe drifts farther and farther to the right, becoming ever more ethno-Nationalist, we must become privy of this supine tactic. There is no doubt in my mind that Le Pen serves this role, though I am fearful of Zemmour being an usurper of our ire as well.
