        A family is a top down hierarchical structure -- parents are in charge, kids obey -- yet the ultimate goal of communism is essentially the levelling away of hierarchical distinctions. It's also bizarre on its face given that most Marxists loathed the family as conceived of in Western nations and criticized it as a bourgeois construction that people needed liberating from. The Frankfurt School certainly seemed to devote a lot of time to deconstructing it and describing it as basically a cause of neuroses and 'Authoritarian' ideas. Seems weird to deconstruct and attempt to destroy something which is what your aim is.
