American is not going to literally collapse unless there is a global collapse for some reason.

Look at how quickly things went to total shit during hurricane Katrina, which happened when US society wasnt nearly as dysfunctional as it is now.

Last year the US spontaneously devolved into mass race riots lasting months over a completely media manufactured issue. Its an unsustainable powderkeg. The national debt alone probably has this country mortally wounded at this point no matter what we do, and theres zero indication we will do anything besides add more debt.

Katrina was a catastrophic event. In order for catastrophic event to effect the whole country like that it would likely be on a global scale.

The point is that the minute some adversity was thrown their way, things totally collapsed, and at the very least severe adversity is coming. There is also increasingly worried talk by foreigners and even some wall street types and neoliberals that the US is headed for a total meltdown.
