Funny how they conflate colored statues, namely the clothing being colored, as somehow being connected with "people of color" (that all have black hair and black eyes).

The cheapest sort of pride is national pride; for if a man is proud of his own nation, it argues that he has no qualities of his own of which he can be proud

This is obviously fallacious as those two things are not mutually exclusive. Having pride in one thing doesn't mean you can't have pride in another thing. This argument basically boils down to a high/low, low/high comparison, i.e. dumb people that have no accomplishments to be proud about will look externally while smart people who do have accomplishments will be more critical of their nations alleged accomplishments. Quite the midwit take, which isn't particularly surprising given the person quoting it.

I don’t think he said that it was only Jews doing this? I agree we do often overlook the millions of Europeans playing along with this BS but the fact is that the average man/woman (of any race) is always going to conform to the prevailing narrative, which is created & imposed on us by the ruling class.

The over focus on the JQ mainly comes from the legacy of nazism on the White Nationalist cause. The most curious thing about that Schopenhauer quote is not only that it applies to instinctual, chauvinistic patriotism rather than articulated ethnonationalism, as the full quote makes abundantly clear, but also that according to the logic espoused in that same quote, the only "miserable fools" who are worse off than national chauvinists are the internationalists and "humanists" who have to recourse to identifying with the achievements not of millions of their fellow men, but billions of them.

So much anger just for a European woman identifying with the cultural heritage of her people. Oh how the knives come out and the mask of feminist solidarity is exposed as pure fantasy the second especially a pretty white girl starts taking on our ideas. Beneath every Ann Coulter tweet is dozens of completely nasty and personally directed attacks on her looks, her being trans or whatever else.

As usual I feel like I've been transported to another planet when I hear people make that same Petersonian point about pride in your heritage.

I'm proud of my grandfathers fighting in WW2 and the medals they were awarded. What type of insane people think that it means I have some deep seated self-esteem problems or that it means I'm actually taking credit for their actions? It's something to look up to and aspire to.

Also the Schopenhauer quote is surprising and I neither consider my ethnic and broader racial group tangentially related to me at all.

Schopenhauer sounding like a modern leftist bugman. That whole argument would make sense if the world was truly equal but we do not live in such a world. We can see the results in the modern Western world when a people no longer take pride in their nation, history, and ancestors.

The "liberal" reading of that quote requires a faulty reading of history. Look at the full quote. It's quite clear that Schopenhauer is referring to the civic nationalism that was prevalent in his time, not to ethnic and blood ties. This type of critique may be applied to boomer-style conservatives who ardently believe in American exceptionalism, worship the increasingly ineffectual liberal Constitution and promote petty jingoism abroad for unclear reasons. The argument is absolutely inapplicable to this girl though. If I have my facts correctly, d'Escufon was a member of Generation Identity, which was literally banned in France. This type of ethnonationalism is completely antithetical to the system currently in place in the West and an obvious distinction must be drawn between this ethnonationalism on the one hand and the object of Schopenhauer's criticism, which is essentially just jingoistic bootlicking.

What a wonderful way of chronicling the thread. There is lots to learn from the replies. My takes per each section:

1) I always thought the replies were far from that and the usual leftist talk. At least Varg's followers and others on the DR actually believe there has been a fixed White race. "the concept of race is new and fluid", "concept of race wasn't invented until the slave trade", "Irish and Italians weren't considered White", "no genetic markers for whiteness".

4) Reminds me of the quote, "White fascists would rather fight bloody battles with other Whites than sit next to a black person on the bus", implying that other races in these nations have more experiences and heart in common than just about anyone from a neighboring nation.

5) I've also seen them speak about inbreeding (bringing up the Habsburg portrait and all) when someone is in opposition to miscegenation/diversity, believing it'll be inevitable for a state returning to homogenity.

6) "OMG she is literally a fascist in a fascist group that France banned!!" I'm pretty sure AK and his followers know all this anyway. I don't get why this makes the material instantly avoidable.

Another popular reply under Krogan's thread is the anime meme hinting at the homosexuality of Ancient Greece/Rome that has seen no solid rebuttals thus far. Fair warning that it is off-topic, but the history of Julius Caesar and Nero's gay acts is implied to be another dig at what we hold to heart about these cultures.

I would like to hear from these people why these standards (no monolithic White group due to fighting, honoring European heritage is weird) apply to us so.
