B 52s do suck. But Kate Pierson was a knock out in her day. I would not discount her as a role model

Mate there's 12 people in the entire continent of North America under the age of thirty five who could even name these ropey, irrelevant old slappers. They're not role models for anyone.

Not true at all. A friend of my woman is a huge Elvira fan. Basically anyone who grew up in the 80s has fond memories of her. What I find distressing about is Peterson had been into men her entire life. "Dated" Elvis at 17 (pretty disgusting really). Both her real person and Elvira were overtly sexual in a very "heteronormative" way to use the parlance of the enemy.
