Actually, you know what? I'm not going to waste my time on this subject anymore.

You won't argue with u/send_nasty_stuff because he kicked your ass in a one sided argument. Not that its the first time thats happened. Hes beaten you down before, and I've done it more times than I can count. This is what happens when you try to vaccine shill with Reddit-style tactics on this forum.

This is one of those rare times where being wrong, would actually make the world a terrible place.

Politicizing medicine exists on the same wavelength as politicizing the police. Even when they make mistakes, it's still a necessary evil in order for society to function. All the other alternatives like scrapping them, creates more violence and instability.

I see the exact same position with people who distrust any and all attempts at treating sickness. Unless you want to start performing your own heart surgeries or x-rays, professionally trained medics still need to exist so most people don't end up killing themselves with quack treatments.

And that's always the issue with the hyper-partisan libertarian world. You may think you know what's best for yourself, but then there are millions of other people represent the complete opposite. And when you end up with two opposing camps, the bigger one will always gang up on the small.

Hence, where government comes in to balance the power.
