My provincial government constantly puts out word salads, I've given up trying to understand them.

I found one source that mentions quarantine, but even the last sentence is a headscratcher.

The employee is in quarantine, isolation, self-isolation or subject to another control measure as a result of information or direction related to COVID-19, issued to the public or to an individual, by a public health official, a qualified health practitioner, Telehealth Ontario, the Ontario or Canadian Government, a municipal council or a board of health. It is unclear what other “control measures” would be.

Ok, so the Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit covers for that period of illness. That's a federal benefit, if I understand this correctly. There appear to be a pretty decent amount of safety nets available. So they key here is to ignore local government bullshit unless it's beneficial, and file for federal benefits if necessary.
