An honest question to the pro-vax people on this sub, why do you trust the state on the vaccine issue?

1) Lockdowns clearly work for Australia and China. They don't work if you're gonna do them half-ass way, which is what most of our governments did.

2) Anti-mask stuff was stupid since the beginning, and only lolbertiest of lolberts were not ashamed to pull constitution or something and read it to some minimum wage worker.

3) Vaccine passports, oh well, predictable thing, but it is what it is. I think they're stupid, especially for us who are vaccinated.

4) Mandatory vaccines are only negative if you start with assumption that vaccine is bad. Many vaccines are mandatory and you can't go to public school without them or whatever.

I'm willing to criticize government for political plays they're playing with vaccines, the corruption that is happening on national level where whole states buy only Pfizer, health institutions for their incompetence and bafoonery (they flip-flopped on every single fucking issue), but I also think this antivax stuff is stupid and overblown, it's just another finkelthink.

EDIT: I don't support lockdowns now, they're of no worth as it is, and so many people got screwed by them. Again, government incompetence.

The lockdowns in China were nothing but, show for the Western world. The lockdowns in Australia are nothing but, a power-play because there's virtually no covid there.

I just re-read my comment and I'm sorry for too much personal insults. I'm still not convinced by any of your arguments, I literally explained why the survival rate isn't 99.98%. It's more like 98.2%.

I don't disagree with Sweden's approach, it's perfectly valid strategy, but when you compare it to Australia and China it's objectively inferior. Most of our governments are doing the worst possible combo, which is something in between of Sweden and Australia/China.

I am discussing effectiveness of Austrialian/Chinese vs Swedish lockdown and what is better. Yes, it's better to have less disease and it's better to have strict authoritarian short-term measures to ensure that.

What's wrong with Sweden's approach? It appears to be working because Sweden has close to zero covid which, is likely a lot less than China. Would China even tell the world about covid outbreaks?

Why is mas-vaccination needed for a disease that, as you say, has a 98.20% survival rate? There are literally hundreds of diseases with significantly higher mortality rates. Why aren't we mass-vaccinating for those? Why the push for mass-vaccination rather than a push to improve the overall health of those who are most-vulnerable to the disease? As I'm sure you know, obese people are much more vulnerable to covid so why not mandate better eating habits for fat-ass slobs when they're the people who are vulnerable? Why should healthy people who have almost no chance of death or even severe reaction go out of their way to help fat-fucks maintain their unhealthy lifestyles?

I don't agree with the assessment that most governments are doing something, "In between of Sweden and Australia/China." Most countries likely already had heard immunity but, decided to continue with masking, distancing, lockdowns, vaccine mandates and now vaccine passports as nothing but, a pure power-play. I caught covid back in Feb 2020 along with just about every person I know. It spread so fast that it burned itself out--that's why cases peaked and then crashed. Covid didn't have a second peak until mass-vaccination began. Using a leaky vaccine is the cause of variants not the ass-backward, newly-minted science that claims variants are a result of the unvaccinated.

Israel is one of the most-vaccinated countries in the world but, covid is raging there and even the Israeli PM said, "The most vulnerable population at the moment in a paradoxical manner - are the ones who received two vaccination doses but, not the third dose.". So Israel admits the vaccine isn't working and that protection fades over time. Does this make it a forever shot? Will you take the third, fourth, fifth, etc.?
