I mistyped. I meant you won't get a vast majority of people to agree. Phones are still optional to a great extent, with many options that don't have all the features, etc.

it's pretty paranoid to expect this to continue in perpetuity imo.

I certainly hope you're right.

I don't know where you live but I don't know a single person who doesn't have a smartphone in post-industrial England. Maybe a few older people in rural areas might not give a fuck about it but I'd say 95%+ of western people below the age of 60 has smartphones nowadays.
