Great article debunking the fantasy of the ''Post-industrial economy''

The reality is that automation has made industry, mining, and agriculture so productive and efficient that 20% of the workforce can provide not only all the required goods of an economy and but produce a surplus for exports to foreign markets as well.

The rest of the economy lives off the teat of these productive sectors. Most jobs today cater to luxury, private welfare programs(NGOs, think tanks, diversity admin), and entertainment.

Hundreds of thousands of people literally make a living out of doing porn online or reacting to videos or shows.

As covid showed, the economy could run just fine even when the bulk of the workforce remained at home. There was no starvation or societal collapse. It's because only a handful of people actually produce things of real necessity.

And honestly, the input of these workers should matter more than that of some professor of gender studies or some HR hag. It's kind of like the ancient caste system where the warrior caste had a greater say than the peasants on account of the fact that they performed a more vital function.

There is no shortage of labor but a glut of labor. And this glut drives down wages and stock market capitalism in conjunction with global trade drives work hours and demands up the roof.

Ideally, in an economy, women should not work or should be discouraged from work. No need for so many workers. Only men would work and with no immigration, wages would shoot up.

All necessary goods should be produced domestically so as to reduce energy waste by transporting it from another continent. There should be no stock market, the value of the company would be determined by algorithms based on its productivity and if companies need money they can sell stock to the government or borrow from it at low interest.

And unnecessary sectors should be eliminated. I'm looking at NGOs, think tanks, charities, bureaucracies, the thousand media outlets, and such.

I agree with much of what you say said but the notion that only those doing productive work should have say in politics is misguided. Much of the productive work can be done and is currently being done by lower iQ people.

i suppose that's a problem with marxism. The workers will never rise up because they're too stupid. You can have a vanguard party but they won't and can't ever transfer power to the workers because everything would immediately collapse.

The thing is that women want to compete with men, so instead of taking care of their family they pretend they work and hire someone else to cook and clean the house and take care of the children and satisfy the husband. The added drama at the workplace means more jobs to handle it. So here is how a "new" economy is created.

And you also get the diversity economy for women made up of hundreds of NGOs that exist specifically to get women into the workplace and specific sectors of the economy.
