Yeah, this is really an empty victory. Teachers are notorious for being biased, passing trouble students so they don't have to deal with them.

They're also one of the lowest IQ and female-dominated degrees.

Click 'data' to see the data as a table. I've copied it below if you ever want to use it

I really wish I took Chemistry or biology in university

With the online courses that are available now, you can learn all you want without burdening yourself with the time and cost of university. There's nothing special about a university curriculum other than the questionable credentials that are bestowed.

In a lot of trades, people with work experience are often allowed to challenge the levels of the trade, or even the entire license. I see no reason why the same shouldn't hold true for university courses, especially considering how many universities are publicly funded. Why shouldn't the materials be made available to the public and then people just challenge a course and write the final. Obviously Big Education wouldn't like this. You'd still have to do the lab work, but that could be done separately as night school or on weekends.

I meant as a profession. I doubt anyone would employ me if all there was were online courses. Credentials unfortunately matter a lot in our modern age.

You would be surprised. What interests you about the fields that differs from what you're currently doing, and what would you want to go towards with a degree in either/both? Biology and chemistry intermingle, but chemistry degrees are more mathematics heavy. Depending on what you were wanting to go towards, starting with certain cerifications could get you in the door somewhere and then you could focus on your degree/move up after-- gaining relevant XP along the way.

Oh.

Maybe. A lot of being a prof is make-work nonsense. I'm sure the private sector is different and while the start-up costs are high, starting a biotech company would be a lot of fun. There's a lot of blue oceans.

To be fair, going to post-secondary school still requires you to operate computers, read from textbooks, have decent attendance, and make it to graduation.

I doubt your average retard could do that. The really dumb ones just sleep in all day or get a job in manual labor.

I'm sure as a general trend it holds.

Interesting. I wonder why high IQ women like chemistry so much.

Just a guess but probably because it's easier than physics but harder than biology. Would be interesting to see if there's an emphasis on biochemistry or other specific subfield.
