  1. Keep your edgy accounts separated completely, including any email addresses associated with them, assume that the platforms are compromised and staff will leak your email to antifa.
  2. Don't use twitter at all, ever.
  3. Don't use your real name on the internet at all anywhere ever.

Keep your edgy accounts separated completely, including any email addresses associated with them, assume that the platforms are compromised and staff will leak your email to antifa.

This is really important. Ideally I would use them on different browsers, log-in sessions, maybe even different devices with separate IPs.

Don't use twitter at all, ever.

I think this depends on your threat model. There's some people who use it to spread a message or useful information (like https://twitter.com/Peter_Nimitz for example). But definitely do a cost-benefit analysis.

I also have to wonder if social media as a whole will turn against dissidents at some point, and when and how extensive that might be.

Don't use your real name on the internet at all anywhere ever.

Agreed in principle. Some may make exceptions for career reasons or friends and family. Those who do that should be extremely careful what they put on other accounts they have. And using your real name for any non-essential reason is very foolish.
