*Demolition Man* predicted the future

I've just watched Demolition Man again. I haven't seen this movie for maybe 15 years. I don't even remember how long it's been. Anyway, I can't believe how much this movie predicted the contemporary cesspool we call "society". From insane PC culture to hyperreality. It's all there. The irony is also absurd. The police in the movie's future has fascistic uniforms, but they're complete snowflakes. It's the opposite of a fascist society. It's basically a society for Nietzsche's last man. They even make the snarky remark that traditional masculinity is for "insecure heterosexual men". Lmao!

It nailed the nanny state. No real music, demerits for cussing, corporate food as 'gourmet', adrogynes everywhere, impeccable anus hygiene, negro masculinity has free reign, and of course armed dissidents living in sewers biding their time for the right chad to come along. It's almost like movie producers get a peak at the intelligence community psyops and future social conditioning script.

Gotta have a look at this then. I personally can't sit through anything with that Bullock girl but if there's good themes then I'll definitely take a look. We need a big sticky with film recs for Dissidents.

If you're into action-comedy films, it's really worth it. Probably even if you're not. I've noticed the themes OP mentioned as well, the film was downright prophetic in some aspects.

We need a big sticky with film recs for Dissidents.

I'd like to work on this too. I might post a preliminary list tomorrow, I want to make sure my most recent threads get enough time on the frontpage first.

Nah. In demolition man, the city was excellently run and was clean, efficient and safe. In modern US cities, filth is everywhere, corruption is rampant and negros get free rein to loot and plunder.

Not one of the dystopian movies got it correct because none of them had the balls to show how the elites use racial minorities and sexual deviants to destroy society. They all beat on the tired drum of capitalism and big corporation.

That movie was so mild compared to current year. The plot had the antagonist threaten to release hardened criminals to cause chaos to everyone's fear. It was eventually stopped.

Meanwhile, in current year many criminals were released because of the political virus and have gone on to kill again while store owners that refuse to comply are instead jailed.

It's literally a Hollywood (Jewish) lampoon of fascism in the police forces and society, written initially by someone (Lenkov) who regularly writes about fascist police fuckups.
