Successful leaders need a balance of soft and hard skills. Soft skills are his charisma, his communication skills, his oratory skills, etc. Hard skills are his ability to analyse situations, to take the initiative, to make tough decisions, etc.

Some leaders have an abundance of soft skills, but no hard skills at all. They would be very good at inspiring people and creating a movement, but would be terrible at actually solving political problems. Donald Trump was an example of this.

Ideally, you would want a more balanced leader with a combination of hard and soft skills, like Adolph Hitler, or Vladimir Putin.

Well explained. I think Hitler was mainly held back by some of his poorly chosen inner circle, and Putin by the poor state of his country and his alliances with plutocrats. Those details aside, both embody precisely the kind of people we need.
