200 out of 24,450 students, this is the equivalent of giving into the spoilt child's petulant demands.

This is what conservatives don't understand. Small - but fanatical and militant - minorities drive history in a certain direction. It doesn't matter if you win an election. You have to be relentless in every day life. The whole "get the government off my back" whining is impotent and suicidal. You have to be even more radical and revolutionary than the left is.

Exactly. It’s such a cope when conservative types think the modern left is just some fringe group of lunatics. They might be a small minority but it doesn’t matter, they have power, or at least the people backing them do.

Yes but you can't deny the Cambridge administration would be more willing to give into demands like this vs if 200 students demanded something conservative

If conservatives had even half the tenacity that leftists have we wouldn't be in this situation.

It's odd that signs would be required in a museum of classical archaeology, though it would seem that this is especially for the grade school groups that visit the museum several times a day. Some of the casts in that museum are painted, to show that they are casts of bronze sculpures, and to show that the casts of stone sculptures were often originally polychromed. The museum uses the wall space for casts, but could instead include in some places photos of ancient Mediterranean frescoes that show the extent to which men in cities around the Mediterranean were normally somewhat brown or tan, and that larger cities included people with different skin colors from many miles away.

In an action plan published last month, the university’s classics faculty noted that the plaster casts on display in the museum and lecture rooms give the “misleading impression” of an “absence of diversity” in the ancient world.

-The Ancient World lacked diversity

-The Ancient World would go on to build great things.

What did the museum mean by this?
