There's many ways of disproving the idea that whites rule for themselves and their own -- which is the part that matters not whether there are merely white individuals who happen to occupy positions of power.

I like to put it like this though: the idea of white power in this society is self-defeating because of the very fact you can criticise white power. You can deconstruct white power, mock it, belittle it and start entire institutions which the state and private individuals will fund which are dedicated SOLELY to supplanting alleged white hegemony. That's not how power works, is it? In a country where whites ruled as whites and for other whites none of that would be possible because whites would use their power to suppress marginalise and ultimately destroy the forces attempting to deligitimize them.

As a simple comparison consider how Jews react to people making the exact same claims about them that are brought up in your standard spiel about 'white privilege'. Jews mobilise and use their influence and institutions to destroy, silence, censor and generally make life difficult for those people. That's called ACTUAL POWER.

Whites don't do that because they have no actual power as whites. Like I said the idea of white power is self-defeating simply because you can actually talk about it and still keep your job -- in fact if you talk about it enough you'll get tenure at a good uni.
