One of my eye opening realizations was the disney movie pocahontas. I always liked this movie.

It hit me how the movie would be perceived differently by a white and a non-white audience. For whites, we explored, conquered, etc. For nonwhites they got annihilated, conquered, etc. (and whites were the cause of it)
It creates an entirely different outlook
