The entire purpose of world sports like the Olympics was to channel ethnic rivalries between nations into a fair, peaceful and competitive sports event. If the representatives of nations are foreigners within their own nations it kind of defeats the purpose of the event. To see how perverse world sports have become is a tragedy or it might be a boon for us because sports is often used as a tool of social control to channel masculine and tribal impulses into meaningless distractions like team rivalries.

Sadly the times of based Japan are already gone. Korea is much worse though. Both countries are Western colonies, they have already been abolished but still haven't noticed it. Their political systems are utterly alien to their histories as peoples.

"Communist" China is a bit less westernized and slightly more coherent but it is also a product of a modernizing jew-influenced ideology and was basically founded upon the physical and spiritual obliteration of traditional China and its culture.

An analogue situation would be an Europe ruled by oriental despotism. Totally alien and ultimately disastrous.

Fun Fact: Japan was going to host the Olympic games right after Germany in 1940 but it got cancelled.

I can't think of another Japanese athlete, so picking Naomi makes sense for international appeal.

Media people like to say "Multiracial athletes like Naomi Osaka and Rui Hachimura are helping to redefine what it means to be Japanese", but somehow they never get around to making the equally valid claim that they are redefining what it means to be black. Funny how that is.

There's another level of irony when it comes to pushing multiculturalism.

If every country becomes "diverse", why do we even need an Olympics? If we can find Africans, Indians, Europeans, Hispanics, Asians etc in every country, then flying them over for a global event becomes pointless. Every team would look the exact same.

An irony probably soon followed by that of the fastest sprinters still being blacks "from" various countries, the best weightlifters still being whites "from" various countries, etc. The "diversity" would just make racial differences more salient.

      Came across this Mishima quote:

      Quillette:

I no longer have any great hopes for Japan. Each day deepens my feeling that Japan is ceasing to be Japan. Soon Japan will vanish altogether. In its place, all that will remain is an inorganic, empty, neutral, drab, wealthy, scheming, economic giant in a corner of the Far East. I will not listen any longer to people who are content with that prospect.
