Can we do something about the obvious trolls?

Republican58 was banned for a week.

Valkaria1488 hasn't really participated much and probably will be banned if he continues.

You might not notice as a user but we have banned quite a few trolls. (daddiescummies was recently banned for example)

Please use report button. It doesn't mean the person will instantly be banned but it helps gather examples so we're confident banning the person and know their patterns if they try to pop up again under a different name.

We've been told from admin that if we don't allow outsiders to engage we will be removed again from the s/all feed. This means that the mods here are trying to bend over backwards to allow outside input even if we know they are borderline trolls. The issue isn't that we are struggling to identify, it's that we'd need to prove to saidit admin that they are trolls which can be a different thing to someone outside of our group. Hope that makes sense.

Instabanning trolls was easier on reddit when we didn't have the same admin scrutiny and we had a near endless supply of naive but genuine leftists to engage with. Saidit is a different story though.

Sure, can you explain why shalom hasn't been banned? I've never seen such obvious trolling in my life and she's been reported dozens of times.

Shalom might just be genuinely stating the orthodox Jewish position on things which in a way is a troll (because jews troll goyim on a regular basis publicly) but in another way isn't a troll. Kind of a tough decision. If my other mods want to ban him I'm fine with it but I don't really see a clear rule violation.

I'm not just going to ban a right wing jew for being a Jew. This is a debate sub.
