In Greece, the police viciously attacked the protesters and even used leftist gangs against them.

It always frustrating to see police forces using heavy handed tactics against law abiding (and tax paying) citizens.

In the end, though, the police will always support the Elites and their controlled politicians. They see these protests as a threat to their agenda, and the cops are sent to suppress them.
