The smell/texture combo is a little much for me, despite enjoying durian cookies and pickled eggs (which generally generate disgust from most other people I've talked to).

I mostly just used the insult because stinky soy beans. Fits.

Not just stinky. Sticky/stringy, with gross fermented bacterial growth that looks horrific.

But I liked the flavor so much I have 13 pounds of a special soybean for natto, and an instant pot to make it in. :)
