AltBase (alternative-right database) is a database of linked images, claims (facts/quotes), and sources for the purpose of documenting, sharing, and substantiating dissident-right talking points (race realism, IQ, degeneracy, demographics, jewish influence, etc.) Each view is designed to be queried by a bunch of different dimensions (source title, author, etc.) and organized through a #tagging system so you can look things up by topic. Altbase is intended to be useful for posting content to reddit-type sites, image boards, or just to share IRL. It was essentially designed to be a collaborative solution to the many disorganized and decentralized archives (pastebins/imgur/library of hate, etc.) individuals have created over the years. Its free to use without an account, but if you want to collaborate by adding or editing content, you'll have to create one (no PI required). Individual submissions are reviewed by administrators, and these can be accepted, rejected, or edited after they've been submitted.

AltBase has been an off-and-on project for about 4 years now and the product of mainly one person with limited experience. While it doesn't look great, the current version just released is the first one to have all the originally-desired functionality working as intended (so far as I can tell). I have deliberately not promoted AltBase very broadly yet with the intention of working out any errors or UI changes with a smaller starting user base. If you have any feedback to share, or questions about it, I'd be happy to hear them.

Can you download from it? Can you batch download from it?

At this point alt right content is so hunted down by silicon valley companies that any type of archive or 'base' where this stuff is stored is going to go down eventually. The only safe way to protect dissident content is to keep it all on a personal harddrive (I keep mine encrypted) and then upload it to a server like catbox or post img right before you share it. When I see new dissident media I like I back it up immediately. This takes a SHIT load of hard drive space but IMO it's worth it because there are tons of old images and video that is totally gone now because I relied on someone else to back it up.

This high level of independent data hording and personal archiving makes us more anti fragile as a movement.

I support your project but I don't want anyone to become dependent on 'cloud' databases like these.

No - but you can navigate to the links and download them individually. Right now AltBase doesn't actually "host" any images or files. It just saves links. Eventually I want to write a script that downloads all linked content automatically (.pngs, .jpegs, PDFs, etc.) but I haven't done this yet. I could publish the database itself but I'd rather not do that because it might create vulnerabilities for the site

I routinely back up the database and website code to my local hard drive. Basically I've planned/designed things such that if the server goes down or service is denied I can have a very recent version back up and running somewhere else in under a day or so.

Great stuff! I wish the right had more information resources. Metapedia is a great example, although it seems somewhat inactive.
