Part of the problem lies in the way we design our cities. For so many people a car is their only option. It's not as if there aren't solutions — Amsterdam and Copenhagen manage to get forty percent of their population cycling and a similarly large number walk.

If anyone is interested, Not Just Bikes is a YouTube channel dedicated to documenting successful urban design:

He has a video, What Makes Cities Great which points out design features conspicuously missing from our sprawling obesogenic metropolises which attempt to mimic post war US (the world's fattest nation) cities.

The Reddit sub r/LowCar also has good ideas

I would also like to see exercise equipment for adults in public parks. Something designed to do body weight workouts on. It doesn't have to be complex.
