Here in Germany we have many Hate Speech laws, especially after 2015 new years eve rapes by asylum seekers. If you make any negative comment about the asylum seekers you could go to jail.

David Lametti assured Canadians that the proposed law would not target “simple expressions of dislike or disdain” during a virtual press conference

Yeah, ok. Give an inch and they take a fucking mile. This is them putting their foot in the door to control internet thought crimes in Canada, at the least.

I haven’t read up on that event, but one has to wonder if it was a psyop..

Could be, but I’m inclined to believe not. These sort of tit for tat attacks are common in multi-ethnic societies. Expect them to become increasingly common in the future.

Yes, now we have illegal FEELINGS in the bad joke that is Canada.

Or set up pirate radio stations at the border. https://www.theculturecrush.com/feature/conmen-at-the-border

BTW, something like 90% of Canadians live within 50 miles of the US border so saturating Canada with the most redpilling hate speech truth would be straightforward. Not sure how you'd monetize it but it's technically simple.

They can give me a fine but I'm not paying it. I don't have any money and I won't bow anyway.

I'll give them a bill for twice as much if I have to. My time is worth more than theirs.

Same here. I have spent a good amount of time accepting and mentally preparing for the very real possibility of being sent to jail for expressing my opinions.

Just delay payment until 2022.

When the currencies collapse the fine will also collapse.

It's like making lemonade, from urine.

What's the significance of 2022?

Here is how the law will be enforced:

shitting on white people = not hate speech

shitting on non-white people = hate speech.

We should show up on every youtube thread and internet thread about this. Your voices need to be there.

I can't wait until they start prosecuting Blacks and other poc for trashing Whites. I don't think I'll be holding my breath.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Nah this law only applies to whites with morals who get outraged by evil. That's hateful, you know.

Well, I guess I better stop posting on here now that I could be put in jail for knowing some truths. Or for stating things that might be construed as expressing illegal FEELINGS...

Every time I read one of these stories I just hear circus music in my head.

Is there anything like the 1st amendment in Canada?

[–]chadwickofwv 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

No. The US is the only country in the world where citizens have a right to free speech. It is also the only country where citizens have a right to keep and bear arms.

Canada’s Attorney General David Lametti assured Canadians that the proposed law would not target “simple expressions of dislike or disdain”

Not at first. The liberals will use it against ackshual nahtzees initially, the guys saying really inflammatory things. But then, after they've set the precedent of fining people for exercising their free speech, the liberal shits will use it to silence larger segments of society for voicing wrongthink.

The news comes after a 20-year-old man recently rammed his truck into a family of five in Ontario, in what Canadian police say was an anti-Muslim terror attack.

Typical of the fucking liberals, using a random attack to justify broad, sweeping reforms to society and limit civil libertys. Just like they did with their gun control bill last year. Punish all of society for the actions of a few. These bills do nothing to prevent the tragedys they are made in reaction to. Its mindless kneejerk horseshit.
