Down’s? The most prominent disability fetishized in this country is autism. Look at all the attention it gets for their parents.

Are regular kids patronizing autistic kids with sham dates? Unlike down/downs kids, autistic kids are treated like other kids in that they make it or fail by the same criteria as everyone else. If an autiste or even aspie does not make the cut on cheer leading or sports because of a lack of athleticism or coordination, they do not make the cut, but, depending on the spectrum, do make the cut on debate, or chess, or math because they are good at it.

Also, are autistic kids being used as a football to draw on emotional heartstrings to get abortion restrictions approved by SCOTUS, when any sane, rational society would compel abortion or euthanasia in such circumstances? I cannot think of anything more dysgenic than letting cute white girls abort healthy white babies in their teens and 20s but prohibit the abortion of disease ridden, crippled invalids.

Also, your retort loses some meaning because autistic has become an overused word that means everything from Rain man to smart, geeky, creative people.
