One of the rare times when Spencer is correct.

My policy would be more nuanced:

Have no public school system. Local communes/communities decide their education system or homeschool. However, in order to apply for college, you must pass two tests. The first would be an IQ test. There would be a cut off score and no one beneath this would be allowed to go to college.

After passing this test, there should be a more comprehensive test that gauges student's abilities in science, math, history and civics. This is to ensure that kids don't end up learning nothing during their childhood. People with college aspirations thus would be forced to attain a minimum level of proficiency in these topics.

Those who pass these exams would then be allowed to apply for colleges. But the college system in turn would be fully public. No private unis. The bulk of the colleges would be science and engineering, medical unis. Their task would be train the next generation of technical professionals like Engineers and doctors and further advance science. These colleges should be fully free and funded by the state.

In addition, there should be a very small number of liberal arts and humanities colleges. Perhaps one or two specialized humanities universities. Only a few scholarly minded and gifted people would be allowed in here to maintain proficiency in these fields and advance them further. There's no need for hundreds of thousands of english graduates, a few hundred or 1 thousand is sufficient.

They can maintain the needed knowledge and innovate further.

As for the rest of the population, they would either go to technical schools like mechanics, electrician or nurse or go into physical labor or business.

There is zero need for 40% of the population to go to college. Only 5-10% of jobs if even that actually require technical knowledge so sophisticated that it mandates 4-6 years of education. An office secretary doesn't need a masters to their job. In the past secretaries generally lacked college degrees and they did fine.

The state should actively control the number of college graduates via the IQ test. If the estimates are that roughly 10% of the population need to go to college to fill the technical posts, then the cut off IQ should be set at 120 as 90% of people fall beneath that.

If its 5% then raise the cutoff to 125. If 15%, then drop it to 115.

This method would prevent elite overproduction, curb the excessive ambition that leads to low birth rates and depression and hyper conformist corporate behavior and prevent midwits and imbeciles from clogging the universities and draining it of vitality.

A 130+ IQ physics student should not have to deal with midwit gender studies grads.

I disagree that each community should allow themselves to decide all of their education. It will lead to fragmentation in society if each region has a different version of the nation's history and founding myths. The problem of nationalized education comes from ethnic diversity, lack of tiers in curriculum and the pedagogy is curated by anti-whites. Once nationalists are in control of education, it can be a powerful tool to create more social cohesion and tighter communities. I am not saying community and home schooling should be banned but history needs to be nationalized because a shared history is a fundamental part of an ethnic identity.
