From what I can tell, as far physical beauty goes, women are most attracted by two features: tall height and broad shoulders.

Though gym bodies are great to look at, I wonder if they actually increase your attractiveness that much. Women shop for good genes and height and shoulders are mostly genetical.

A large part of the function of a man is to protect you from other men. So yeah big and strong and healthy. Also being able to hunt down dinner. So, not so chunky you can't hunt.

Perfectly cut muscles and very low body fat though, not critical. More a thing with gay men than women, I think.

There was a paper showing feminist women had the exact same tastes. So it's a hard wired thing.

Ding. Extremely low body fat percentages look mildly disgusting, and I could see it as something that maybe trends but really appeals more to men. Ultra low body fat also ends up in illness relatively easily, plus you need cholesterol to continue running physiological processes optimally. Body fat can still look even attractive over muscle if there are good proportions at up to 19%. Broad shoulders and strong lats are great indicators that a body is capable of more demanding tasks. Soylent body types show that a body falters with even minor physical labor.
