I recommend "Stalin: The Enduring Legacy" by Kerry Bolton, which covers the many Third Positionist aspects of Stalin's USSR, and it's pretty funny to whip it out while debating Super Socially-Liberal Marxist-Leninists just to watch them realize that their hero whom they love to insist would have us shot was probably more likely have them killed. Also gives good insight into how Marxist governments usually end up taking Third Positionist stances.

I generally don't recommend Julius Evola, but his "Fascism Viewed From The Right" is pretty good as well.

It is interesting you say this, since the perspective taken in that book is based on Evola's general views and the concept of the organic state.

I mean, it's one of the few critiques of Fascism that aren't full of bleeding-heart Liberal gibberish or Marxists gaslighting Fascism for Capitalism's misdeeds, so that's something.

Also, considering Evola is kind of hard to understand a lot of the time, having him compared to something we're more familiar with helps. Plus, it helps when people start calling Evola a Fascist so you can just start listing his issues with it.

Yes, I was just curious why you are recommending this specific book when you do not typically recommend Evola, although I think you addressed that too - he can be a hard thinker to grapple with.

I'm really enjoying Gregory Hood, Chris Roberts and their new podcast, Left, Right, and White. It was discussed on this sub a few days ago

Every week they discuss a writer that influenced them on their political journey; taken together the podcasts add up to a course in political thought.

You can find a list of the podcasts here:

The original resource list from the r/DebateAltRight can be found here:

Searching this sub using "book", "books", "read" or "reading" also turns up a number of recommendations.

s/RuneBooks is also an essential visit.

Mark Weber has put up a list of recommended books over at the Institute of Historical Review:

The study guide is divided into five sections:

  • The Second World War

  • American History

  • International Relations

  • Communism, Marxism and the Soviet Union

  • Zionism, US-Israel Relations, and the ‘Jewish Question’

A brief summary is given for each book

As added bonus, some of the books can be purchased through the site.

Weber discusses the reading list with Frodi Midjord on the Guide to Kulchur podcast:

From time to time Counter Currents also reviews books. I've added a number of items to my reading list after first seeing them there.

Do you have goodreads? I have a bunch of books ordered by their general subject matter on my account, add me and people from my friendslist there and you can find books easily on your timeline thing.

I don't have an account but I can still see the books in your list. I am interested in reading some of Michael Hudson's books. I am currently reading "Grip of Death : A study of modern money, debt slavery, and destructive economies" by Michael Rowbotham.

Anything older than 1900. Malthus, Mandeville, Hobbes, know your enemy and the law.

Some Brazilians recommended I read works put out by Mário Ferreira dos Santos. I'm still trying to wrap my head around his philosophy, but it sounds like some really high level stuff.
