It's an epidemic, not a doomsday scenario. The same garbage was being propagated about Brazil until last week, but now that the situation stabilized the filthy, ratlike journalists have found a different target - you can be sure that if the Indian government weren't Hindu nationalists you wouldn't be seeing nearly as many of these hyperbolic pieces.

I'm aware it's not a doomsday scenario (yet), but keep in mind that all refugee crises flew under the radar at first, before quickly gaining steam.

Syria is a good example of this. Nobody really cared about Assad, until his own little civil war managed to spill out and send Syrians all across the region.

With India, it could be a combination of many more factors before it reaches the exact same tipping point. The Virus could still wear out their infrastructure, further straining national resources. Corrupt government officials make the situation worse and BOOM. We now could have millions of Indians trying to flee the continent for greener pastures.

Edit: The Virus also has a double whammy effect. India already has a food shortage problem which is now being made worse by lockdowns. So again, adding more layers to this situation might accelerate the nation's collapse.
