Anyway, these quote tweets provide a glimpse that this mask hysteria is likely here to stay.

Regardless of any medical value, wearing a mask has become a visible symbol of "I'm a good person who believes the right things". Oversocialized people can't resist that.

I'm willing to bet money this chick has done porn or worked as an escort. She maybe a hooker but she's morally superior to republican bigots who won't wear a mask!

That being said, older people might benefit from wearing a mask since they're more susceptible. People below 50 have nothing to fear from COVID unless they're overweight or have some serious ailment. Yeah sure there are some edge cases but exceptions prove the rule.

95% of COVID deaths are from people over 70. Even Bill Maher recently admitted that the whole thing has been overblown.

Discounting that though, we have known that masks have been useless outside for over a year.

I consider any person under the age of 40 who willingly wears masks outside (especially if they are JOGGING or riding a Bike) to be a subhuman unworthy of respect.

I'm not sure where this weird hatred of masks is coming from, not just among the dissident right but also from normiecons. Are there any studies which show that wearing a mask is an objectively bad thing for your health? Is it just because of the social-conformity aspect?

I wear a mask for work and unlike the vaccine which I absolutely will not get, I really doubt there's any large downsides to it. The mask that I wear is specially made so that it offers nearly 100% UV protection as well. There are a million better things for you to get mad about.

I reluctantly wear a mask indoors. I do not wear a mask outdoors unless in crowds where people are well within six foot. We have known since lst April that covid transmission outdoors is rare, and really only happens when people standing around, do not social distance. The evidence is now pretty much incontrovertible. There are problems with wearing masks outdoors. Less oxygen, masks get soiled from extended wear, etc.
