China is overpopulated, much of the coast is just one endless sprawl where one city starts where the next one ends. China can't produce enough food for its population and oceans are being overfished in order to feed China. I would much rather live on a sparsely populated planet than in one covered in endless sprawl.

When people say the global population is going to grow by a certain number of billions by 2100 they miss that it is Africa that is going to increase. Most of the world has peaked and is in decline and will hit a healthier population level by the end of the century.
