Saidit was shut down 2 days ago and could go down again at anytime. It appears a user named loki88 (not a poster on our sub; not an incident on our sub) made a threat to a 'protected group' and then made complaints to the host that saidit allows evil hate speech. That's about all I know. Magnora7 has not shared any information I'm aware of about the shut down. Please use this thread to post information if you have any. Again please visit our ruqqus community soon and get familiar with the format as that may soon become the permanent new home for DAR. If that happens we will need a new backup site as well. Suggestions are welcome.

Edit. Upon further investigation it's looking like Magnora7 just forgot to pay the bill. I'd still strongly encourage everyone to have an account on ruqqus as it is still the official backup. I've also recently created a slug account in the case both saidit and ruqqus go down (not outside the realm of possibility in today's climate).

Edit 2. Mods and powerusers please make a slug account and let me know when you have it so we can follow each other. Slug looks like a nice auxilry site for messaging. Especially because ruqqus doesn't do PM's. Slug also has a native photo and video upload feature that might come in handy. Thank you /u/casparvoneverec for the reccomendation.

I suspect that 16Mega and loki88 (two of the 'Iron Left' mods, the third is fschmidt) are the same person. And that both accounts were banned, which is why fschmidt claims to be the last mod of that group. Lol, when me and /u/Markimus banned this gang of jews (or more likely, one schizophrenic jew) from brigading and trolling /s/Fascism, Magnora7 pushed the blame on us because we didn't respect some argument pyramid bullshit and he removed our saidit from /s/all.

Anyways, good to see site back up, even though anything outside this saidit is bunch of mouth-breathers.

I'm close to pulling the plug on saidit and moving everything over to ruqqus. Magnora7 is a bad actor and the double standards are obvious. The problem is that we don't have a viable backup once we move to ruqqus. Everything would be lost if we moved to ruqqus and then that site goes down as well.

True, but we've been talking about a move for awhile now. Ruqqus gives our little 'guild' full access to the feed and prospective new users. Saidit sticks our subverse in the attic. If we can't be visible to new people we stagnate.

I had not heard of that incident. Hopefully it's isolated.

Another big worry I have is that we move to ruqqus, ruqqus grows, shills, trolls, and ADL lackeys come to try to shut it down just like they are doing with saidit now.

Seems like no social media site is safe until we figure out how to get a reddit clone site with everything decentralized, encrypted, and crypto donations to pay for server time.

He probably just linked them to the admin statement (by TAM) literally saying that saidit tolerates death threats in violation of US law, and the TOS of the host company, with supposed examples in screenshots, and then threatened to report saidit users to the FBI.

TAM made the case for the hosting company that saidit should be shut down, even if loki88 was also involved.

Hey everybody,

Richard Parker (aka Tiki-Tiger) here. I will probably register but I lament that this board just not have the same community the old reddit did. We really need a good proper message board. Stormdrain for example is an embarrassment. Hope everyone is doing ok, all things considered.
