Who here would be interested in a book that is a heavily empirical look at youth and the education system?

The book would begin with a chapter on the history of youth norms and another on the construction of the public education system in the US. It was found that infantilization worsened as technology progressed, and that the public education system was instituted top-down by elites, and was largely unpopular among the US people. The next chapter is on the biology of youth development. The literature on puberty and the brain is reviewed and it is concluded that brain development ends with puberty in the mid-teens. This was the scientific consensus as recently as 1995. The last substantial chapter would thoroughly analyze and trace the workings and development of the new infantilizing consensus. It is concluded that the unscientific narrative emerged from educationists who wanted to use it as a tool to help expand higher education. Finally a small chapter on what policies I desire ends the book off.I would call for the shortening of education, especially for those with low aptitude.

Could anyone see themselves buying or reading this or should I not bother writing it?

I would bet people would read it. But I'm not sure I believe it, it makes sense to write it as a book since all these opinions are contrary to the view most people have on it.

  • A lot of stuff I've seen makes it sound like public education was non-elite people wanting it, see scholarship on the '"High school movement".

  • I'm very skeptical of brain development ends with puberty claim. Brain imaging technology has greatly improved since 1995, it is safe to assume more contemporary neuroscience research has better methodology.

  • I'm confused on what is meant by "infantilizing", does this mean we are more narcissistic, we have atypical interests, or delaying responsibility. I'm assuming what you mean is the responsibility angle

I think in regards to marketing, the dissident right isn't the right sector to target. The vast majority have little interest in education topics. I don't get why this book can't have wide market appeal and be overall apolitical (John Taylor Gatto)

You may be right. I actually already wrote the book and a far right publisher has not been very fond of it. Sadly to go elsewhere I will have to remove HBD on women that shows that psychometrically they can be mentally aged as eternal 7th graders. Even the rest of my thesis does not fly with shitlibs, even if it isn't cancel material. I doubt anywhere else would be ideologically willing to consider it, maybe Marxists but probably not since they like education.

This is another huge controversial part. I spend a large amount of time thoroughly showing that the researchers are lying about their findings. It's really quite surprising and is an interesting phenomenon on a meta-level.

I specifically criticize David Tyack in my chapter on this. His scholarship is awful in this regard.

I probably will. That means I need a graphic designer though for tables and the cover.

You could probably contact some other dissident publishers to see who they use for tables and graphics.

Did you perform any of these studies yourself or did you use research already compiled by others to create your own hypothesis?

Infantilization has worsened, but that could be easily observed. The 26 year old research on brain development is relatively useless. You're going to need research via modern methods, along with rock solid references if you want to be taken seriously at all.

Possibly. It's not really a topic that I'm invested in at all though.
