I'm.actually surprised how closely slavs came to north western euros.

Indeed. It makes Germanys decision to wage a race war against the Russians look like a rather stupid choice in retrospect.

But then again, the Germans were blinded by their long and violent history with the Slavs. They were not able to look at the racial aspect in an objective manner.

Never happened. Slavs were never considered subhuman nor was there extermination policies towards them. Slavs weren't even restricted from marrying Germans in the Nuremberg race laws because they were considered apart of the Ayran race.

The only thing that is true is that the overall gene pool of Eastern Europe was was considered lower than that of Northern Europe.

That isn't entirely true, though. Germany decided to wage a war of annihilation against the Russians. They tried to starve Leningrad into submission in what could arguably be a case of genocide. The Germans also implemented the hunger plan and hoarded food for their troops, which led to famines in the occupied portions of the USSR. (Although these were not as bad as the famines in the unoccupied portions of the USSR)

This is all standard policies that waring armies have engaged in throughout history. Why don't we declare every siege and blockage throughout history a genocide?
