The hysteria he causes in among the Left and elites due to his obnoxious persona and rhetoric creates the illusion that he is far more radical than he really is and his supporters buy into it. I never noticed it but you are right, it is mostly the Christian Right, even among far right, who seem to fall most hardest for Trump.

No one on the far right supported Trump past the first few months. That would be like talking about vegans who still enjoy steak.

I had a chat with an uber christian who supported Trump because she believed god was using him to humble the corrupt and prideful politicians.

I am not even sure if Trump is Christian. He has been in the public spotlight for a long time, is there any documentation of him speaking of his faith prior to running for president?

I doubt it, but that wasnt relevant to their rationalization. He was being used regardless of his faith.

I agree, i am just telling you how my uber christian friends rationalized their support of Trump.
