Look, I don't like wearing masks or being lectured by hysterical women either, and I especially disagree with lockdowns at this point, but the virus downplaying and anti-mask stuff that have become ubiquitous on the American right just makes me cringe.

For one, the virus might not be very deadly, but there's still open questions about whether it causes permanent organ damage to lungs/heart/etc., which can't be known until years from now. That's a risk I would want to avoid if possible.

Secondly, I don't buy the claim that masks don't work. Of course they can never be 100% effectual, but to deny their efficacy completely reeks of gaslighting. And even if they were totally useless, what's the harm besides a bit of discomfort? It's practically a free option.

But most importantly, it just makes you look like an ass and belies a lack of basic courtesy and conscientiousness. Causing a scene in public over not wearing a mask is not courageous, it's just embarrassing. And Trump, for what it's worth, being perceived as the man who doesn't care about the virus may have been fatal to his chances. The exit polls are pretty damning in this regard. ~60% of voters considered the recent rise of coronavirus cases an important factor to their vote. Biden has a 10-point advantage in being considered the candidate to better handle the pandemic. 67% of voters consider wearing a mask a public health responsibility. More people consider containing coronavirus more important than rebuilding the economy...Unfortunately, most Americans still care about this stuff even if we have moved on.

Something I never understood about libtardians.

1) What happened to muh tracking and facial recognition technology, now you have the opportunity to hide your identity from muh CIA who track you personally all day with CCTV. It's a blessing for paranoiacs.

2) Even if the mask doesn't block the virus it will reduce the viral load which means those who catch the virus get a less serious version.

3) You literally wear the mask for like 20 seconds when you get out the car to walk to your table at a restaurant. Or like 15 minutes walking around doing shopping or something. It's really not a big deal at all. I saw fags saying they can't breathe with the mask on, my advice to you is stop being morbidly obese then, anyone who is remotely healthy has no problems with this. I know people who are morbidly obese, with sleep apnea and asthma and they wear the mask fine so you've got to be all kinds of fucked up to be having issues or you're just a faggot lolbert who likes whinging.

Yep. I was in a 'nationalist' riot chat filled with lolberts and schizophrenics when the narrative first flipped from 'bioweapon designed to wipe out the white race' to 'fake virus designed to take muh individual liberties'. I was saying that even if you don't believe in it, the little old lady at the store does and in the off chance your massive intelligence and tiny humble and modest ego is wrong she could die because of you, and she's hyper aware of that. Not wearing the mask signals you lack empathy and pro-social attributes, how can you call yourself a nationalist, a patriot, socially conservative etc if you put your own individual preference to not wear a mask over the potential health and lives of everyone around you? These people are NOT nationalists, they are anti-social personalities who only care for themselves and they're in our circles not because of a pro-social love for their community and folk but rather because they simply hate other races, many of these same types even hate lower class white people too. We need to purge these people by exacerbating the distinction between anti-social ('racist liberals': ironybros, lolberts, conspiratards etc) and pro-social ('wignat': national socialists, Traditionalists etc) elements.

Yes. I would have closed the border immediately to ensure covid never reached my country if I were in charge. If it did manage to get here then I'd have followed the kind of measures employed in Asia. They dealt with it pretty well, America and Western Europe are a joke because we're run by libtards who don't have the balls to commit to serious measures so we end up with infuriating half measure lockdowns and shit which just annoy people.

The restrictiveness of the lockdowns and shit is completely irrelevant because the disease is still all over the place. My problem is that they were ineffective, nothing to do with some homo libertarian muh individual rights bullshit.

They could have closed the borders like a year ago when this shit was first making international headlines but they did nothing then when it got out of hand they did a bunch of ineffective bullshit. It was a clownshow.

The covid response was an orwellian operation like we have never seen before, and was made possible because our civilization has reached an unprecedented level of cowardice and emasculation.

There is a reason why it happened during an election year. This manufactured crisis did cost Trump millions of votes, and that's exactly what it was supposed to do. Whether masks work or not is irrelevant, the fact that helmets work to prevent brain injury doesn't mean everyone should go around wearing one. If you do that, you are a sperg and a faggot, and unfortunately a huge amount of young people in America and Europe have become exactly that, spergs and faggots who were overprotected as children and have now been cowering inside their homes for months, permanently weakening their bodies and minds, because they are afraid of an inocuous virus.

I keep asking myself how these people would react to an actual crisis like the ones our ancestors went through multiple times, as in millions of bodies piling up on the streets. They wouldn't handle it and would commit suicide.

So basically my point is that Trump didn't lose because of the right's reaction to the orwellian Covid response (which was a sane and healthy one, although not nearly energetic enough), he rather lost because most people no longer have these healthy instincts and are hopelessly brainwashed. Modern Americans are more disconnected from reality and nature than any other generation in history.
