There is no dignity in today's capitalist system. It's a neofeudal abomination.

Actual feudalism had many good aspects. You could appeal to multiple justice systems like the clergy, King and lords. A third of the year was holidays, and the lord was obliged to take care of you in case of misfortune.

Plus, the church and your village served as a social safety net, providing services for the poor and needy. There was far greater freedom and dignity in the life of the serf in 13th century Germany, than a modern, ''free'' and equal wagie.
