it shapes how you interact with the world. in a time where the world wasnt so small due to technological means IE modern means of travel allowing mass migration your identity was derived by certain things. identity is and always was relative.

there used to be clans and tribes a long time ago, then there were nations/ethnicities and now we live in an age where the difference between a german and englishman doesn't seem so small in comparison to the somali. in a millisecond we can see someone's race and recognise whether it's a friend or enemy, not in the sense of someone you like or dislike but in the sense of us and not-us.

until there is a whole other species that interacts politically that can somehow unify all the races we will always identify this way, this is the last frontier that can't really be erased. the difference between the tribes, clans, small kingdoms etc were easy to forget in the nation-state age because these people are hard to differentiate. it's not so easy to forget you're different to someone who looks and behaves completely differently to you.

why race is important to me is because i desire power and the political unit of the 21st century is the racial or civilisational state. russia, china, india, america, europe. the fact that europe is still stuck in the 19th century is the reason we are perpetual slaves to the US and/or russia as well as fading into obscurity, and the reason america is in decline is because they are not following any principles of good statecraft. i want to organise europe as one state in order that we can be vitalistic in the world and pursue our destiny. i would much rather people in a thousand years from now read about the great feats and genius of europeans in the 21st-25th centuries than them read about the decline of europe from the 15th century to its total extinction in the 22nd century.
