Well, this just proves what many of us already thought, we will not be able to win through legitimate democratic elections because the system is corrupt and is actively working against us, the media, the judges, the government and foreign meddlers want to destroy us or cripple us, our parties will be banned like in this specific case or crippled like the case of the AFD.

We will win through radical ways and not through democracy.

This party wasn't banned until the law ruled their murder and other violence unlawful. They had seats in parliament.

[–]arainynightinskyrim 11 insightful - 3 fun11 insightful - 2 fun12 insightful - 3 fun -  (4 children)

Some members of the party may have committed violence but not all of them, using your logic if a politician of a specific party commits a crime then the party must be declared unlawful and be disbanded which does not make any sense.

I read that it was something like over 60 influential members involved. It’s like saying how can we blame Facebook on the Jews, not everyone leading it/working there is anti-white and Jewish.

6 leaders and 61 other party members:

The courts claimed that every MP was responsible for unspecified crimes. As for the Jews, they demanded that Golden Dawn was outlawed, and actually one day after the final verdict they visited their puppet to congratulate him. Here are some photos as well:

Really weak analogy. White nationalists don't blame 'facebook' on the jews. That's a strawman of the JQ argument.

[–]SoylentCapitalist 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Replace Facebook with any anti-white Jewish run organization that has some non-Jews working there, and the analogy works better.

So are we going to ban the democratic party over multiple violent assaults, riots and murders by leftists/BLM activists they have openly supported, encouraged and protected from prosecution?

[–]SoylentCapitalist 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (11 children)

The majority of the high ranks in the Democratic Party aren’t involved in that, or at least no evidence of such which can’t be said for Golden Dawn.

[–]asterias 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

which can’t be said for Golden Dawn

And how do you know what can be said about Golden Dawn? The court ruled that just by being elected the GD MPs were responsible for a former communist party member stabbing someone in a street brawl.

[–]SoylentCapitalist 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (8 children)

Read the source.

[–]asterias 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (7 children)

The "source" states what the court said, not whether the court decision was legal.

[–]SoylentCapitalist 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

No, it doesn't. You should read the citations as well as the wikipedia article.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-24314319

[–]asterias 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

Are you really that thick?

Let's take this "source" for example:

In recent months, Golden Dawn has been accused of perpetrating attacks on migrants and political opponents - including an attack on Communist Party members earlier this month which is said to have left nine people in hospital.

The attackers were not found and Poulikogiannis claimed they were GD. Poulikogiannis was supposed to be a major "witness" during the trial, making all sorts of claims. You can see who Poulikogiannis is on the left of this photo: https://pic8.co/sh/0Sz1Zq.jpeg

Also on the left in this photo along with his death squad: https://pic8.co/sh/F1msNW.jpeg

And here is the same person at the trial: https://pic8.co/sh/phjcSR.jpeg

So who is the criminal here? And why Poulikogiannis, member of the Communist Party, has never been charged for these attacks?

And here is another of your "sources":

Makis Voridis, a politician with the governing New Democracy Party, told the BBC's Newshour that the police had made the right decision on the arrests.

Here is Makis Voridis carrying a weapon in the streets of Athens: https://pic8.co/sh/od22sL.jpeg

So maybe you should shut up instead of talking about things you know nothing about?

[–]SoylentCapitalist 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

You're arguing with your eyes shut.

And how do you know what can be said about Golden Dawn?

Some more citations from the article (Greek Sources):

There's just plenty of support that points towards Golden Dawn being a criminal organization. The leaders were found to be involved, that's what separates them from the Democratic Party, there's just so much more evidence the higher ranks are criminals themselves in Golden Dawn.

The party had been denied access to the means available to other parties and was under constant police attack. There was no murder involved, unless you mean the assassination of two of its members by paramilitaries which the state has conveniently failed to investigate.

[–]asterias 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

The politicians won't allow any change that will end their corruption. They will create new laws to specifically target any movement they don't like.

GD was distributing food supplies to impoverished Greek families. First, they would forbid them to distribute the supplies claiming that they didn't have a permit (which they wouldn't get anyway) and then they made a law that said that this is racist and they had to give food to illegal immigrants as well.

How come that the right is so weak in Greece after the economic collapse and the migrant crisis?

And people still vote traitorous politicians like these that prefer invaders? If there was even a little bit of decency these guys would be executed for treason.

How come that the right is so weak in Greece after the economic collapse and the migrant crisis?

If by "right" you mean the nationalists, there are a few reasons. Leftists promise a better living and people are ready to take that promise even if that means more "refugees". Also poverty. Nationalists are not part of the system and often live a difficult life, so they can't raise a family or print thousands of posters as the leftists do. People are ready to sell out so they can get a job, as everything is controlled by the political system. In general, people everywhere prefer the easy life.

And people still vote traitorous politicians like these that prefer invaders? If there was even a little bit of decency these guys would be executed for treason.

It's similar to the two party system in USA. There are Democrats, there are Republicans, often there's little difference, but people vote one or another instead of trying a third solution. It's really astounding, but it's the way it is.

Worth mentioning: Pavlos Fyssas, the rapper who was "murdered in cold blood" (it looks more likely that his killing happened in the middle of a brawl between two groups of people) was a hardcore antifa far-leftist, and a member of the radical and militant communist organization ANTARSYA (source), that has on multiple occasions used political violence. Here's a statement by them. Some nice parts:

-Open the borders for the refugees

-Asylum, free access to health and education and equal rights for the refugees

-Immediate release of the thousands of refugees from the islands. Immediate closure of refugee (concentration) camps-prisons

-Free and safe transfer of the refugees to mainland Greece, with decent conditions in the cities

-The refugees must be free to travel to any country they want

-Immediate abolition of Dublin II Regulation (basically the EU's legal mechanism for processing refugees and unauthorized entrants into the EU)

-Internationalist solidarity between Greek and Turkish people and other countries in the area

Not saying he deserved to die, but eh, didn't exactly put on my funeral clothes when I heard about it.

The Jews literally ordered the persecution of GD. The Jewish media have been reveling about the "decision" since yesterday and their representatives visited the PM to congratulate him personally:

No they didn't, it was an act of self defense.

    [–]SoylentCapitalist 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

Members of Golden Dawn have been accused of carrying out acts of violence and hate crimes against immigrants, political opponents, homosexuals and ethnic minorities.[113] Golden Dawn's offices have been attacked repeatedly by anarchists and other leftists,[101][114] and clashes between members of Golden Dawn and leftists have not been unusual.[115]

In 2000, unknown suspects vandalized the Monastirioton synagogue, a memorial for Holocaust victims, and Jewish cemeteries in Thessaloniki and Athens.[116] There were claims that Golden Dawn's symbols were present at all four sites.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Dawn_(political_party)#Declaration_as_criminal_organisation

What proof do you have this was all in self-defense? I get some of it was, but many of these are crimes.

These are all fake, like jews painting swastikas on synagogues.

Members of Golden Dawn have been accused of carrying out acts of violence and hate crimes against immigrants, political opponents, homosexuals and ethnic minorities

When all this started, media claimed that there were "hundreds of murdered immigrants". Till now, they have failed to find even one. Not to mention that there have been thousands of poor victims murdered by "immigrants".

    [–]FriedrichLudwig 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I would also like some proof of this, it would be a powerful argument against the shitlibs who will now use this as an excuse to crack down on all right wing politics. Not that Fyssa's murder, and Golden Dawn's involvement or lack thereof, have anything to do with our politics, positions and arguments.

    [–]asterias 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

The politicians are trying to make a new law forbidding them to form a new party.

    [–]arainynightinskyrim 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

What does the law say specifically?

    [–]asterias 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

The current law says that they still have the right to be elected and in any case they can still function as a party till the appeals are judged. Politicians are looking for a way to make a photographic law that will forbid them to have any electoral rights.

    [–]arainynightinskyrim 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I know I'm going to get downvoted for this, but groups like Golden Dawn are an optics disaster for us. LARPing as 1930s fascists isn't the way forward. The new and more intellectual suit-and-tie approach is much better, and more successful.

    [–][deleted] 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

You can't get downvoted here :)

While I tend to agree, I'm still furious when these liars twist the concepts of truth and justice.

Nobody mentions two members of the Golden Dawn when they were killed. Everybody says they were failing party considering their results, but nobody mentions that Antifa inked good chunk of their ballots. Nobody mentions their offices being smashed.

And now THEY are the criminal organization, because some guy killed some antifa fuck in obvious self-defense, the lie is being pushed that all of it was organized, etc.

If they do it to the Golden Dawn, you can bet they will do that to suit-and-tie people. Best example is Richard Spencer I guess.

I mean, Greece circa 2009 was about as close to the Weimar Republic as it gets. Even worse when you consider the fact it was never as prosperous as pre-war Germany. It obviously wasn’t the greatest thing - but they also did have seats in government and it did take this long for it to be a problem. Caveman social conditions don’t exactly discourage being a caveman.

Indifferent, even if true. No one in a crisis cares about a “suit and tie” image. It would be nice if groups like Golden Dawn wouldn’t get into military costumes and crap that bring the hammer down - but I’ll take setting up soup kitchens, morale building group activities, hardline ideological clarity and the ability to mobilize masses over “optics” any day.

Circa 2009, Greece was (and still is) a failed state. There were people who were fed up with the corruption and demanded this to change, and somehow GD managed to express this feeling. With a better leadership, things might had turned out differently, but still it was obvious that the politicians wouldn't allow a change to take place.

    [–]asterias 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Many believe that Mihaloliakos was far from being a good leader despite his claims.
