Based on what? The vast majority of whites that voted in 2016, voted for Trump, and I doubt very many of them suddenly went woke. Polls have shown that the majority of whites now oppose BLM, despite there being intense pressure for them to pretend they support them.

I think you have a small but hardcore group of whites that support BLM, or at least openly advocate for them out of intense peer pressure or because they are hardcore shitlib antifa types, a larger group that are uneasy about them but again because of fear of social stigma, loss of job or even violence go along with it, and then the silent majority that are thoroughly fed up with them.

Good point I forgot about. I think all it takes is another George Floyd video to get lots of them supporting BLM though. Maybe it's just the constant rioting they object to.
