Interesting read if you're as interested in antiquity/Rome as much as I am.

It's a pretty compelling, if circumstantial, case that a lot of what we know about ancient Rome could be based off of forgeries.

The bits about the Greeks/Romanians being the true Romans is a little bit of a stretch though.

The Latins had to come from somewhere else so it could be that they originally came from Romania. A bit too Eastern of an origin to be that closely related to Gaulish in my opinion but who knows.

If the Romanians did get Latinized at some point, however, the language changing very little in underdeveloped ethnically homogeneous regions is a well known phenomenon in linguistics. We know for a fact that Iceland is not the homeland of the Germanic peoples.
