While you're right that we're at a historical bottleneck which can render us either extinct or a galactic civilization, it won't take long (relatively) for us to spread out over even the entire galaxy as long as we're capable of sending out ships that can build self-sustaining colonies that can produce similar colonizers themselves. We ALREADY have blueprints of a ship capable of going interstellar, and it is projected to cost a mere $1.2 trillion! You realise the current population of 42 million blacks in US would take $30 trln out the budget in their lifetime, don't you? I'm not even mentioning bank bailouts, useless market smoke and mirrors that exist only to devalue the currency and stupid globohomo-inducing wars.

I can program an interactive simulation (where you can set the speed of ships, how long it takes a colony to grow, etc, etc) of such a colonization this evening if you want to see it for yourself.

And don't get too blackpilled about our current predicament, we've passed many, many (sometimes called Great Filters) such bottlenecks that could've prevented our based carbon lifeform from ever reaching even a rudimentary intelligence, yet here we are right at a new bottleneck, this time possibly a final one.
