It's just a contraction of "Alternative-Right Database"

I balked at the name too, but it doesn't look like a meetup group. Is a collection of useful information going to be compromising? Wouldn't just not doxxing yourself and practicing normal good OPSEC while contributing to it be sufficient?

Right - You don't have to "doxx yourself" in any capacity. Just visit the site to use it. With VPN, or whatever

If the name is so off-putting, I can change it. It's a three-year on/off project I've been doing with limited outside assistance. The "Alt-Right" was a different thing back then

    a different thing?

It was. The "Alt-Right" was a more nebulous term in 2017 that meant something to the tune of "psuedo-race-realist cultural conservative" but didn't have clear boundaries. There was a tentative alliance between race-realists, libertarians, AmNats, and actual NatSocs in 2016 during the Trump election. Many included general Am-Nats and Trump supporters as "Alt-Right". The term basically meant "anything on the right the mainstream thought was bad," but "wasn't banned from public discourse," and may, or may not, include "neo-nazis/KKK/whatever other bad thing." After Charlottesville in 2017, the media deliberately made this into a much more reprehensible term. The "Alt-Right" and "Alt-Lite" split formally happened over time as Trumps tenure went on, social media bans accelerated, and the so-called ""anti-semitic"" camp (like TRS) gained more influence. Now, "Alt-Right" is synonymous with "neo-nazi" in the public perception

I want to say my first attempt to start this was in mid-2017, just before Cville. Hopefully that gives you a timeline

Not sure if you're joking, but it's not. Don't trust it if you don't want to - but you don't need any PI to use it. I've been working on this project on-and-off for several years now, it'd be a pretty elaborate scheme
