Here is an article concerning the name change to the Washington Redskins (I know many here are hostile to Sportsball, and not without good reason, but I myself hate this, insofar as the Redskins are part of an old-school NFL that actually has some semblance of American culture not Coca Coloa or rap music etc).

The thesis of the article is that Snyder and the NFL are taking a gambit, sacrificing older fans in exchange for younger fans. The article asserts that there is a monolith among younger people caring about "corporate values," and if they d not jive, they will not buy into it. I am skeptical of that. Young people did not flock to Gilette because of that infamous ad. I am also not sure that the natural demographic for the NFL (men) is going to be preoccupied with that, although a larger number are. I was wondering to what extent folks here were skeptical of this blithe assertion that young people really are that monolithic about insisting on pc wokeness from the corporations they patron.
