I scored 124 on Mensa Denmark. On TRI-52 I scored 132 which makes sense because it correlates more with FSIQ (Verbal + Non-verbal) and there's a bit of a discrepancy for me in which I'm a verbal tilt. You might be as well in which case your actual IQ is much higher.

TRI-52

https://iqexams.net/links.php

Formula to get an IQ score when finished: ((score-518)/114)*15 + 100.

Here is the confirmation that it correlates strongly with WAIS-III. (Sources as well here.)

http://cogniqblog.blogspot.com/2010/01/test-of-inductive-reasoning-tri52-16-68.html

The TRI52 Reasoning Index (RIX) has shown very high correlations with both the Scholastic Aptitude Test I (SAT I) composite score (.75), and the SAT I Mathematical reasoning test scaled score (.84).

It also very highly correlates with the IQ on traditional intelligence tests such as the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale III (WAIS-III) Full Scale IQ (.77) or the Slosson Intelligence Test - Revised (SIT-R3) Total Standard Score.

While it is untimed you shouldn't really spend more than 2 hours or so. Just in case anyone else is interested!

Yeah it took way way less time than that. I probably rushed it. No worries. Having an accurate IQ score is not really a big concern for me personally. I'm already well in my career any way. IMO Iq test are only really important for 12-20 year olds trying to figure out which career path they should take. If you score a 95 you shouldn't be investing 150k trying to be an electrical engineer. If you score a 105-115 you might want to be a nurse or paralegal not a doctor or lawyer. You're going to torture yourself otherwise.

[–]SoylentCapitalist[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

If you score a 105-115 you might want to be a nurse or paralegal not a doctor or lawyer.

Funnily enough the average IQ of university professors and people with a PhD is 125. If someone really put in the effort and was dedicated they could probably become a doctor with an IQ of 115 though it would not be easy by any stretch of the word.

[–]send_nasty_stuffNational Socialist 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

And why would someone want to do that when they could be an outstanding nurse? That's was kinda my point. I think the IQ is really good for that type of counseling for young people. It use to be used like that. Not anymore though.

Prestige my man, prestige and money. A nurse makes money but there's a ceiling to their income, perhaps it will max out at 150k which is phenomenal. But Doctors have near limitless potential, they could millions per year and its very high status. Women will fall over one another to snag you.

Women are all about showing off their man and having a doctor Hubby gives them huge bragging rights

I'm studying Chem.E which is considered the second hardest course in the world. However, I personally think that medicine is the single most hardest education by a big margin. The amount of study you have to put in is maddenning. Then there's residency and a career of back breaking labor. I could never do it, its easier to be a Commando or a Paratrooper than it is to be a doctor

[–]oneinchterror 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Thought I wanted to be a doctor for many years, and was told all throughout school that I absolutely had the aptitude for it, but it eventually dawned on me that I just couldn't handle the lifestyle/work requirements for the next (potentially) 40+ years of my life. That, and at least 4 doctors I know personally told me that with the way things have changed since they became certified, and with the direction things seem to be headed, none of them would choose to become doctors if they had to do it today. Not going to say what I do, but I have a career in STEM and I'm happy enough with it (I'm also seriously considering going for a PhD, so maybe I'll be a "doctor" someday after all).

Those charts can be slightly off if you're a rare person that's really high on spatial/math IQ but low on verbal. You might be a great engineer and have low verbal intelligence scores but high spatial/mathematic scores. In general though most people scores that don't have extreme variance. The only reason many engineers seem retarded in reading and writing is because they don't focus on it in college not because they are low in those areas intelligence wise.

130 in the matrices test and 111 calculated for TRI-52. While the former felt easy and logical (I've done it multiple times and consistently got 130, got 133 this time but only because I've seen a solution to 34 lol), the latter felt like it was mocking me.

[–]SoylentCapitalist[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

111 calculated for TRI-52

Could I get a screenshot for the TRI score for the leaderboard? If you already closed out it's alright.

As for your IQ, I would have to say it's much closer to 111 since TRI has such a strong correlation with WAIS. Which isn't a bad score by any means.

I recommend you try TRI-52 (information for it above) as it's the only one with an actual correlation with Wechsler's Adult Intelligence Scale. The mensa tests are OK as they use RPM's and are normed decently enough but are somewhat inaccurate up to 10+ points in some cases. TRI-52 also had a similar sample size as WAIS when normed.

[–]Optimus85 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Sorry to burst your bubble, but hitting random answers in 20 seconds nets you an 87...

Not sure this is reliable.

[–]SoylentCapitalist[S] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

87 is pretty damn low. If you could score average (100) by guessing then you'd probably have a point. In any case I mentioned elsewhere this isn't the greatest IQ test by any means and is more of a vague estimate of your non-verbal. TRI-52 on the other hand is very accurate.

https://cogniqblog.blogspot.com/2010/01/test-of-inductive-reasoning-tri52-16-68.html

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Ehhh 87 is a functional adult score though, isn't it? Just seems like a descrepency. I'll take the big test later.

[–]SoylentCapitalist[S] 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I suppose it is, if you consider the average African-American functional. (Joking)

Based on research I've done it is mainly accurate between the ranges of 115-145 (It has a cap of 145 as these online tests can't reliably test higher than that.)

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Sidenote though: this test is really fun! It's just pure pattern recognition and I really do appreciate the sheer computational skill of people who can smoke this test.

Also, it's completely unbiased. There is no "culture" behind information processing so the Bantu are going to need a different excuse.

[–]Intuit 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Well you need some intelligence to hit an answer then move to the next, within 40 minutes.

[–]C3P0 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Picking option C the entire time nets you an 81.

Seems like these tests always want you to pick the answer they expect. However, multiple correct answers could be justified in my opinion.

[–]SoylentCapitalist[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

However, multiple correct answers could be justified in my opinion.

The test itself is normed among a large sample. If there is any ambiguity in certain items, yet 85% get it right and you're part of the 15% who got it wrong, multiple correct answers aren't really justified.

[–]C3P0 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

"The majority result is the true correct answer" is not a valid argument.

For example, if I give the sequence 1, 2, 3,... Some people might think the next number is 4 while others might think 5 because it could be the Fibonacci sequence. If your IQ is as high as you say it is then you probably could see how a very intelligent person with a high IQ score might think the correct answer to a sequence of eight red balls is a blue ball.

[–]SoylentCapitalist[S] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

if I give the sequence 1, 2, 3,... Some people might think the next number is 4 while others might think 5 because it could be the Fibonacci sequence.

Problems on a good IQ test such as TRI-52, WAIS, and Stanford-Binet aren't designed to be ambiguous like that. A lot of time, money, effort, and education goes into the creation of these standardized exams.

As for Mensa Denmark I do actually somewhat regret posting it here, but few people would have taken a 2 hour test like TRI-52 right away. Mensa Denmark does, however, at least have norms.

[–]C3P0 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

a good IQ test [...] aren't designed to be ambiguous like that.

My point is it doesn't matter what sequence or pattern is proposed in the question, any answer can be extrapolated from the data. Those tests only test how well one thinks like the person who wrote the test.

Although one could argue that thinking like others is a sign of intelligence (in the only meaningful way intelligence could ever be useful).

The questionaire is built for average deviation from the norm. If you just pressed random answers, that IQ 87 might be the lowest score possible with that test, while giving you a slight bonus for completing it fast. :edit: it looks like 79 is lowest if you just press random answers.

I got 109. Idk if it was intentional, but I'm do not fully understand how the logic functions.

Sometimes the symbols were logical in the sense that they form up sequence of numbers which are logical just because they could have been represented in values. e.g:

"1 2 3,

4 5 6,

7 8 9,"

On the one hand, sometimes it felt like the symbols themselves create composition which has to be fulfilled or balanced in order the whole to be logical. e.g:

1 2 3,

3 2 1,

1 3 2

Which one is / was correct? I might have probably done better if I were aware of which this. I used both of these options while doing the test, depending on which just felt best at the moment.

[–]PRSanon 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Typically, they are organized into horizontal sets, you can see the pattern(s) in the top and middle set, then you fill in the bottom one by guessing and fulfilling the rules in the top and middle set.

Your

1 2 3

3 2 1

1 3 2

Works as a general rule, they are not typically related much vertically, but there are exceptions such as 38, which another comment goes over well.

I'll take a look at the TRI-52 test.

[–]MarkimusNational Socialist 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

38 is A.

If you track every colour you can see that there's 2 squares each of them can be in (for each of the 2 empty ones). You are left with A and C, all the others have at least 1 colour in a spot where it'll repeat a position from one of the others.

From here you have to figure out whether pink or yellow is going to be in the middle you do this by tracking both of them on the other positions, if you follow yellow around the 4 positions that create a + sign you see it fills out the 4 corners. Then if you follow the other 3 corner spots you see yellow in the bottom right has to be in the middle left position. This leaves C as being the black square in the middle.

I have no idea on the others though, just flicking through them I have absolutely no idea what their patterns are.

[–]SoylentCapitalist[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

38 is a pretty difficult one. Depending on how much time it took you to solve it you might have a decently high IQ, I didn't get this one before time ran out my first or second run. In Raven's Progressive Matrices I usually never get a gifted score and remain in the superior range.

If you don't mind encouraging this type of testing I'd be interested in knowing the average IQ of alt-right individuals here with a decently large sample. I'm sure others would like to know this as well.

[–]MarkimusNational Socialist 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I think the hang up here is that we are all functional white adults with curiosity and that is sort of a rare occurrence now. Our actual average is probably around 100 while most Western nations are in sharp decline. So in a workplace, you have the village idiots and everyone's favorite negro talking about banal shit where as on saidit/debatealtright, you have functional European-descended men seeking answers and thus probably at serviceable intelligence. I don't think we would be outliers just 50 years ago, but in the brave new world we are an oddity and I'd be surprised if anyone here was actually below 90. We're still a bunch of average dummies but I get the vibe that no one here is pants on head retarded.

[–]SoylentCapitalist[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The only reputable test to measure full verbal intelligence would be WAIS itself or Stanford-Binet. However, TRI-52 has a 0.77 correlation with FSIQ and IIRC a 0.52 correlation with Verbal Comprehension Index on WAIS, even though TRI-52 is simply a test of inductive reasoning without verbal problems.

[–]Intuit 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, now that I have time I see it's a variation on earlier ones. For each triplet of color squares (row or column), a given color must be in each row and column of the square only once. So for the right column of color squares, yellow isn't present in the left column or middle row, so must be there in the solution. Red isn't present in the right column or middle row. Magenta isn't present in the middle column or middle row. Etc.

They do have some higher-order patterns that aren't necessary to solve it. There are three distinct groups of colors, blue/greens, grays, red/yellows, always in a row in a given square. Each one has the same order of colors from left to right, and they are merely rotated horizontally (wrapping around). For each row or column of color squares, red/yellows always rotate right (going right/down), blue/greens rotate left, and grays rotate right. Then the rows themselves all move down when going right on rows, or up when looking down a column. This higher order seems lost on the above simpler solution. They could have not adhered to this and still had the simpler solution work.

Take a look at my sources for TRI-52 that shows it has a 0.77 correlation with WAIS-III FSIQ, that one is likely the only online IQ test you can trust as far as I know. It's untimed but try not to spend more than 2-3 hours max if you decide to take it.

TRI-52

Formula to get an IQ score when finished: ((score-518)/114)*15 + 100

Here is the confirmation that it correlates strongly with WAIS-III. (Sources as well here.)

I heard about this bug but I thought they had fixed it. You should probably re-input your answers and wait until the 17 minute mark to submit.

Oh, time was a factor? I spent a few minutes trying in vain to figure out the last few.

[–]SoylentCapitalist[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Time is indeed a factor. On WAIS-IV there is a component called Processing Speed Index that measures essentially the speed of your processing power. This index among others is factored into your Full Scale IQ.

    Lavender is heavily estrogenic.

I'm going to let you stay for now but I need you to stick with your soylent handle, engage in good faith discussion and not use anymore sockpuppets. You are also considered to be on a probation type situation because of your past behavior.

According to the mod log your initial ban the reason is 'spam'. I didn't log the ban though so I don't recall the incident.

If you attempt an more ban evasion/bad faith/trolling/rule breaking on this sub or our sister subs you will be perma banned.

For the record I will probably get shit from the other mods for letting you stay so don't let me down.

    [–]bug-in-recovery 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I did, but it just restarted the test.

I was confused by that. Why did the IQ test suddenly want me to look at "a fucking slut"?

    [–]bassline 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I got 133, might have guessed some of the last hardcore ones correctly

Try Mensa Norway if you're not too confident about your IQ score, I'll write down this one. It's shorter than the Mensa Denmark test.

I got 125 but its lower than what should've been. I had to go out by my birthday cake and my Brother was waiting, had to hurry through the last 6. That said, I suspect it would be higher if it had verbal parts and maths. I'm very strong on those. I guess it would push it towards 130.

    [–]TechCorpOverlord 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Unironically 130, which I'm pretty happy with.
Also hello everybody! I'm here from Reddit with a bit of an "allusive" username.

    [–]Lovelace 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Scored 124. Kind of disappointed but then again I believe my verbal IQ is higher comparatively.

How reliable are IQ tests given to kids in elementary school? I took one in 2nd grade and scored 139, which granted me admission into a school for gifted children (where I then skipped a grade).

    [–]SoylentCapitalist[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I'm not going to pretend to be very knowledgeable on the topic in relation to young kids and their IQ besides stating the obvious that IQ becomes more stable as you get older. You'll probably get a good answer from r/Mensa.

    [–]PokemonMusic 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

    Visiting from /s/all.

130 on the Mensa test with ~ 6 skipped questions.

~109 on the TRI-52 (score of 589). Only spent 35 minutes on it and skipped about 24 questions. (Why guess if I know I don't detect a pattern?)

    how reliable is this?

    this is what I got

    Resultat

Din IQ er beregnet til at være: 128

Beregnet ved brug af spredning 15

I guessed in the last 3 since i was running out of time and struggled a bit with them. Most of the others weren't a problem.

    I think its bs
