I know a lot of people don't like Stef and he's not exactly one of us, but it's another coordinated takedown. I've gotten some decent stuff to use from his shows. It's really weird to see them going after him of all people.

I am not surprised that he was deplatformed from social media. About a few months ago, he was naming the Jews nonstop for a couple of weeks on his twitter account. If you saw the tweets, they were basically alt-right talking points on Jews. He did pull back like nothing happened after those tweets critical of Jewry but I don't think the ADL would accept that. Also, lets not forget that he had a video with Jared Taylor on his channel.

Alt-lite people are closer to white nationalism than you think. They might be civic nationalists but the ideas they focus on are generally what appeals to white nationalists. Lauren Southern made an entire documentary on South Africa farm attacks and Orania. She probably would not be interested in that topic if she didn't have a in group preference for white people and was not exposed to ideas that have come out of the dissident right. It is difficult to know how genuine the content creators in the alt-lite because they will repeat dissident right talking points and the next day talk about civic nationalism. Even if they are seen as people trying to dishonestly make money, they are not a pressure release valve like conservative TV personalities or Jordan Peterson.

At some points, Molyneux says his dad is Jewish. At other points, he says his mom is Jewish. At other points, he doesn't know why people think he's Jewish and says he is all white. What is clear is that he isn't honest about anything.

I really get the impression that many people on the internet are extremely young or exhibit arrested development.

Stefan is an eccentric, he's a liar and charlatan at times. I would not trust him to be alone with me on a desert island and I don't trust most of his personal conjecture.

But that's just a facet of life. I've met many people whom I keep around and value for the areas at which they excel. I met a man who traveled the world making scotch with some very odd ideas about homeopathy. I don't keep him around for his medical opinion but I enjoy his company and input about select subject matters. This is how many relationships just work...

Stefan has good conversations with people like Michael Woodley or other thinkers- he asks good questions and spurs good debates. You don't have to like anyone on the internet for everything, you can enjoy them for their strong suits and dismiss them for their weaknesses. Again, that's just how life works.

He's a liar surely and shills the official 9/11 sanctioned narrative, even attacking skeptics. He stays well away from exposing Zionism or Israel.

For those reasons do not give him an ounce of your money. He doesn't deserve it. He spits on the truth.

He might be fun to watch, he might tell you 85% truth but he is in truth inc., after all, and in truth inc., it isn't a matter of truth but shekels and getting intelligence or think tank money.

I've seen Stephen shill the Likudnik doctrine plenty of times for me to know where he stands.

I liken him to a teenager in how he debates with people (I don't consider myself above that either in terms of my skills either). A lot of passion. Debates with more seasoned philosophers are sometimes painful to watch (e.g. with Walter Block on spanking). I deeply respect him for his strong support of peaceful parenting. I feel lucky that I got to meet him years ago and shake his hand. Some of his call-in shows have made an impact on me, for example the ones when the parents justify all these things that affect their child negatively, and Stefan explains that no, these weren't necessary and the parents need to put the child's welfare first, it's the reason their marriage exists. His message is like the late Alice Miller's in her defense of the child.

His truth about presentations are top-notch and solid. Those are probably why he got banned, because they were non-stop fact trains.

I watched him a while ago. He has some decent understanding of sociology/psychology and I associate him more with that. Along with being inspirational in nature. I wouldn't consider him a great intellectual or anything just a little smarter then the average joe with a warm charisma and decent factual talking points about the fabric of family and how it plays out in a broader society.

He's probably best suited talking to those who are already seeking deeper information not necessarily those who are resistant.

He actually really really shines as an interviewer. He asks engaging questions and gets the person he's interviewing to elaborate and expand.

Twitter above and beyond YouTube is really out of control. Something needs to be done,

    [–]paranoid_android3 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (13 children)

There's only one solution, lawsuits: Civil rights violations of 1st Amendment, election tampering, etc. All damages to applied to more lawsuits.

Can't get them on first amendment, as that limits rights of government censorship, although I believe twitter received subsidies. Remove platform immunity, deem them a publisher. Also get them for antitrust, collusion (reddit, youtube, twitter all acted in concert, cordinated strikes...)

    I don't understand.

Marsh v. Alabama: When public square is privately owned 1A applies. Social Media is the public square. THAT or the government must provide the public with a place to say whatever the fuck we want. Easier to just tell information "utilities", which were built with public funds, they have to follow 1A. That would be my legal approach. But as our enemies know we need to sue from every angle of attack constantly.

    [–]Richard_Parker 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

That case is almost 80 years old and pertains to company towns. If I had westlaw or nexis, I could shehardize it. Really I think the best avenue of attack would be antitrust, which itself dicey, but above that removing immu it as a platform. These assholes are publishers, and thus should not receive immunity from defamation. That may chill more free speech though.

That is irrelevant. It's precedent. As I said, there isn't one approach.

    [–]Richard_Parker 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Yeah it is relevant. And the precedent hardly applies to what we are talking about. It would be hard to argue that facebook, twitter are acting in the shoes of the government the way a company town does....

    I beg to differ.

Social media platforms are not state action. Running and administering a town are. Found this:

Utilities like telephone companies, electricity, etc. all are regulated and have First Amendment protection. The electric company, though private, cannot cut off your power if you're a communist.

If we ever seize government. But I am not sure I believe in freedom speech, certainly not now as it is conceived by most. Rap music, porn, Katy Perry, no I don't think so....

Free speech worked, until it did not. I do not think things like rap music or porn are really speech, but product. I agree things are probably not going to get better until long after I am dead.

I always found the comments section of YouTube to be pretty based. Did you mean in terms of advertising revenue being pulled from 'controversial' subject matters?
