i guess i will make a new key and in the mean time im at least happy glad the og's are back so i can try reaching out to my old homies

If you search, there are ways to change the expiration on the key.

If you are using a new name now, but still have access to your old reddit account, you could possibly verify that way. But you would need to trust who you are talking with at the moment. You can be creative about it and verify. PM's can come in handy.
